Description of key technologies
The rules and regulations for the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is fast changing, and it is a challenge to stay on top of the latest developments. Understanding of the carbon market and latest EB rules are crucial for quicker registration and to generate optimum CERs.

My research shows CDM projects are frequently delayed due to issues such as

a) Incorrectly described projects – Reasons:
1) Communications failure between project proponent and consultant. Most of the time, the consultants fail to follow through project design with the project developer

2) In Malaysia and Indonesia, number of biomass and biogas projects delayed or failed as the overseas consultants lacking the knowledge in palm oil industry and misguided by palm oil millers.

b) Misinterpretation EB rules.

c) Misinterpretation of CAR/CL –
Reason:
1) Consultants get the wrong idea on what is being requested by DOE to be clarified or corrected and unable to respond up to several months

As a result, project owners experience financial losses and decreased opportunities to capitalise on real and measurable emission reductions.

Delays also put a strain on resources in all parts of the carbon trade value chain, adding to transaction costs and reducing efficiency of the CDM market.

I have experience in third party validation and verification and CDM consultation with

1) Enhanced understanding of CDM reduces the risk of developing projects that turn out not to qualify for carbon credits.

2) Ability to prepare improved project documentation reduces delays in validation/verification and registration/issuance procedures.

3) Extensive knowledge of palm oil milling, EFB composting, co-composting, POME treatment, biogas recovery, EFB briquetting, gasification, biomass power plant, dry fermentation.

I’m offering you an assurance of best quality PDD, MR and all supporting documents/evidences/references and minimizing CAR/CL and be responsible for zero inconsistencies and zero nonconformities with EB rules.

Almost 80% of Malaysian and Indonesian projects are facing difficulties in monitoring throughout the crediting period and realize minimum CERs at the end of the days because of lack of monitoring knowledge of project operator. So, I also provide solid competence development for technical and management staff to generate real, measureable and maximum carbon credit from the project. I also help the project operator to prepare improved and organized monitoring documentation.

Last but not least, my services also focus on proving appropriate CAR/CL responses in shorter timeline for CDM consultants and/or project developers to reduce validation and verification delay.

In a fast-growing carbon market, professionals with a technical background in climate change are in short supply, so ensure your project is on the right hand.
