Batavo Cooperativa Agroindustrial: Greenhouse emission reductions on swine production by means the installation of better waste management systems.
The purpose of the project is to minimize greenhouse gas emissions. The proposal for the project activity is to replace the current anaerobic lagoons, or a series of lagoons, by a biodigester, an aerated lagoon and an anaerobic lagoon to store the treated wastes and later place them on the soil. The reduction of GHG emissions will occur by collecting and the combustion or flaring of the biogas generated in the biodigester. The biogas generated during waste fermentation in the biodigester will be taken up and used to produce electricity and heat, or it will be burned in the enclosed flare. The carbon credits will be claimed only for biogas combustion or flaring
