RWE Supply & Trading Switzerland S.A.

RWE Supply & Trading Switzerland S.A. is a leading energy trading firm, based in Geneva, Switzerland (formerly Essent Trading International SA).

We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Essent NV, the Netherlands' largest energy company which has an annual turnover of 6.4 bn euros, and which became part of the RWE Group in September 2009. On behalf of our parent company, we manage the market risk related to a broad range of energy commodities such as natural gas, electricity, coal, freight, biofuels and CO2.

Since 2004, RWE Supply & Trading Switzerland S.A. has developed a portfolio of over 50 emission reduction purchase agreements around the world.

Knowing that each Emission Reduction Project is different, we have been able to offer individual solutions to our counterparts, resulting in:

• First CER purchase in 2004 in Vietnam.
• First international EUA spot trade in 2005.
• Buyer of first issued Gold Standard VERs in 2006
